Sypher is launching a free GDPR compliance assessment tool

Sypher is launching a free and completely anonymous tool that allows companies to quickly assess their ability to demonstrate GDPR compliance.
Although we are almost 3 years away from the entry into force of EU Regulation 2016/679, data protection is still a challenge for most organizations, which are making significant efforts to adapt their compliance programs to the changes brought by the global pandemic.
In this context, Sypher Solutions, the largest local GDPR compliance platform, is launching an online tool with which companies can quickly assess their current ability to demonstrate compliance with GDPR.
The tool is intended for the DPO (Data Protection Officer) and was designed and developed based on the Sypher Virtual Assistant.
The evaluation lasts about 10 minutes and reviews how the principles related to the processing of personal data and the rights of data subjects are respected. After completing the questionnaire, the respondent can immediately download a report that includes the overall score, an assessment of the progress made in documenting compliance, as well as recommendations for further detailed evaluation.
"In order to get a useful result from this exercise, it is important that the answers are objective. This is why the self-assessment tool is completely anonymous. We do not ask for or store respondent identification data, and the report is available online, immediately after completing the questionnaire” said Mihai Ghiță, co-founder of Sypher.
The tool is available here, and for those interested, in May, Sypher also offers access to a free GDPR registry verification package, which allows the identification and completion of possible omissions from the registry, the determination of high-risk activities (requiring DPIA) as well as the creation of a visual map of the company's processing activities.
